I can agree with you that laughter is a great medicine, and that pills aren't always the best answer.

I actually like it when I can agree with my readers. Happy new year!

Mister Tut,

I was not encouraging anyone to degrade another human being. I know what it is like to carry out groceries and have some insensitive individuals knock me for it. That was not my point.

My point was that it is a whole lot better to laugh away your problems, rather than be a psychiatrists experiemental rat. And popping anti-depressants are not always the answer either.

I hope we have connected on a positive level, Mr. Tut. May I also wish you a Merry Christmas and God bless you.

My beef with fredding is not that I think there's anything wrong with using humor to relieve stress.

I think that it is incredibly rude to use tactics like harrassing waitresses to relieve your stress. Anyone who would recommend that as a course of action should really evaluate his moral character.

I have a great sense of humor, but I also have compassion for people in the service industry who are NOT your personal punching bag. If your idea of "humor" is trying to confuse a 16 year old kid working for tips so you can fell better about your miserable self, that says a lot about you as a person.

Hrmph. Sub-human indeed. Keep your money and buy yourself a conscience.

Merry Christmas.

What's the matter? Can't someone relieve stress through fun, and not strict, sub human, cold advice? That would make someone even more stressed.

If you've read "Who's Fred, Ha!", there's a disclaimer that states that it is not a substitute for medical help.

I'll be sending you a few bucks, so you can buy yourself a sense of humor.

Excuse me, but can't you find a middle ground? Surely your relaxation choices are not limited, as you suggest, to either fredding or shouting at people?

If your impulse control is really that bad, consider Zoloft.

Thank you, too.

Excuse me? In this day and age, when excess stress will all too often cause a person to go on a shooting spree, you act as if this stress-relieving technique is an un redeemable sin. Yes, Fredding may become obnoxious if overused, but is shouting in anger a more polite and considerate alternative?

Thank you
