FutureMed: “Bionic” arm overblown

May 13th, 2005

FutureMed
There has been much haymaking on the intarweb over the recently reported “real-life bionic woman“- the hairdresser with the “bionic” arm.

While the story is impressive– woman with a paralized arm gets electrodes implanted to stimulate muscle movement — it reminds me of a quote from Inigo Montoya

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

UPDATE: Now this [BoingBoing.net] is what I’m talkin’ ’bout! That’s Bionic!
