Ergonomic Mouse Roundup
March 8th, 2005

Today we are presenting a roundup of several ergonomic Mouse devices that have been noted on the web recently:
First, the 3M Ergonomic Mouse, profiled here recently.
A second, the Evoluent mouse, Which, I believe was originally noted on BoingBoing. Like the 3M mouse, this is designed for vertical mousing, rather than the typical “palm-down” position.
Two input devices recently featured on Slashdot:
The “Horse” mouse (not yet commercially available, but interesting nonetheless), and the Roller Mouse Pro, by Contour Designs, which isn’t actually a mouse, but a facinating laptop-like pointing interface for desktop systems.
Also, there is the Perfit Mouse Optical, by Contour Designs as well.
Note: Every person’s needs are unique, therefore we never specifically recommend any particular ergonomic solution. Please evaluate various devices and find the one that works best for you.

I tried the evoluent mouse thinking it was a much better bargain than the Perific mouse (half the price). However, it fell far short of the promises. In the end, I shelled out the $129 and purchased a Perific Mouse from buyperific.com. It was worth every penny.
